Back to blog

I have really missed blogging. Every time I think I can sit down for a minute to catch up, one of the boys will need something, or someone will come by, or the phone will ring and then another day passes. I

t has been such a busy few weeks with starting with our friends Peter and Meaghan and their two children visiting us from Port Macquarie on the 21st Dec. for the night. It was lovely to see them, as Pete is one of Andrew's closest friends. They left the next day to visit family for Christmas.

Andrew's mate Pete.. Ruth you will remember him, as he stayed with you a night with Andrew a few years ago.

An hour after they left, 14 kids arrived for Bailey's birthday party.

Bailey had great fun at his party. We took the kids bowling and it was a crack up to see how some of them bowl. After bowling we transported them all back to our house for food and birthday cake.

Some unusual bowling styles!

Back home for presents and cake.

That night Andrew's sister Caroline and her family, who were visiting from Brisbane, came over with the Langleys for dinner. They brought the food to us which was a nice change from party food we'd been scoffing all day. Caroline has 3 boys, so my boys love it when they visit.

Caroline, Andrew's #3 sister

Meredith (Andrew's #2 sister) and daughter, Emma.

It was a busy, but fun day, and due to the time of year Bailey is born, it was his first ever birthday party with friends rather than just family.

Yes, we do remember Pete - and having to put a pillow on top of a suitcase at the end of the bed so his feet wouldn't hang out!

Glad Bailey enjoyed his birthday. Isn't Joshua getting tall??

Lies, I can't believe your youngest is 8! I can't believe Ethan will be 8 in less than two years. The time sure flies. Glad to see you blogging again!

I'm planning on taking Alex and his friends bowling for his birthday, too. It's good to know you did it with 14 boys and survived - I think we'll have 11 or 12.
