Our visitor

We have noticed a regular visitor in our front garden. It's a goanna, about a metre long which perioically climbs down the tree and accross the lawn. It had its regular excursion a few days ago and I thought you might like to see it.

I'd be moving to the city in an instant!

How great is that. All the grandchildren would love to see it. Would it harm you and how would Sydney go finding something like that in the garden?

Wow, I've only ever seen one in books, but I'd run a mile even if it WAS only crossing the garden!

I love those. We saw one run across a dirt track we were driving on and it ran up a tree so I was able to get a picture. I think they're really cool. That's great that you see it so often - don't let Sydney at it; I know Darwin would go after it.

My kids were just watching "Rescuers Down Under" and asking about goanna's - so I told them you had a picture on your blog. They LOVE it and are really jealous we only get boring squirrels, ducks and rabbits in our yard.
