Andrew was unfortunate to be at the bottom of the ruck in muddy conditions on Saturday, when one of his team mates slipped and stepped on his face. The boot grazed his face, but caught on his ear and tore it, leaving it a real mess.
We ended up at Nepean hospital where a plastic surgeon performed microsurgery to try to repair it. He has 26 internal and external stitches. Maybe time to retire the boots??

OUCH! Miss you too.
Ew! You must have a strong stomach but I'm sure Andrew's wearing it with pride.
Man... football season is always interesting in your family
I think you should stop them all from playing. Wouldn't they prefer ballet or something?
Yes - OUCH indeed. Any way you could convince them to do something a little safer - like free fall parachuting, or swimming with sharks?
Actually, hasn't Andrew done both of those things?
Ow! Hopefully it heals quickly.
OUCH!! Glad he is okay, but that sure looks painful!
I think it looks MOST attractive!!
