Our Enrichment night

I am the RS councillor responsible for Enrichment Night in our ward. We have our night planned for tomorrow. The night is themed 'Thrifty and Nifty,' in an effort to help each of us become more self-reliant and save money and time. Who doesn't need that hey?

I made a poster with US dollars (because they are green), as leaves of a money tree. Jordan has already asked me if he can pick them off for his trip.

There will be 5 segments. I am teaching a segment on planning meals in advance to save on our grocery bills. I started a blog of our monthly recipes which I will be handing out tomorrow. Not all are there yet, but I am working on it and I know a few of you have requested these recipes previously and I haven't been very good at posting them. My recipe blog is called http://www.speedymeals.blogspot.com/. A list of our favourites if you need any ideas that kids will eat. I take no responsibility if they won't!

You are so good and organized. It sounds like a fun night. There is another good blog out there called-prudence pennywise that has some thrifty meals if you want even more ideas. I hope you have a good time.

Ok, sorry. I was to impatient and didn't read all your new posts. I'm so excited Jordan is coming over! That's great.

You are such a champion! I am soooo excited you did a recipe blog because I want lots of your recipes! I'll let you know any others that I want you to post. :) And, how creative are you?! I love the sign you did and the invites I saw you working on. Not only are you creative but you're dedicated too. Good luck tonight.

I saw that poster and it had your name written all over it. It looks great. Hope it goes well.

That is a great idea. Our RS counsellor is sometimes stuck for ideas - I'll pass this one on and may well be picking your brains in future. I shall certainly be checking out the recipe blog too.

PS Just read the recipes and can't wait for more!

I'm so excited about the recipe blog! Looks like a great enrichment, too. Maybe you could post some of the ideas in other segments.

I was just at your other blog...I can't believe that your boys eat brown rice, I will have to try that recipe and see if I can convert Eden :) I'm sure the night went well as they always do.
